Olivia

Hello,

You are receiving this letter because of the especially significant role you have played in my life and the lasting positive impact you have had on me. My family and I invite you to join us in the spirit of celebration as I graduate from high school.

For the past four years, I have kept very busy with a variety of activities . I have been a part of choir at school since freshman year, and was co-president of my school’s top concert choir, Chamber Singers, my senior year. I also performed in four school musicals most recently flaying Miss Lynch in Grease and Velma in West Side Story. I am a member of National Honor Society and rank in the top 30 of my graduating class.

Outside of school, I have been active in church youth group, Girl Scouts, and Y-Press, a local youth news organization. I have built houses for Habitat for Humanity with my youth group for two summers, and I traveled with Y-Press to present at the Society of Professional Journalists national conference in Florida.

The summer after my junior year, I lived and studied at St. Brieuc, France, as part of a program through Indiana University. I stayed with a host family, visited Normandy and Paris, and committed myself to the program’s no-English rule. It was an unforgettable experience that changed m e forever as I discovered my capabilities and expanded my view of the world.

In the fastest and slowest way possible, four incredible years are coming to a close, and I am ready to move on. I will be attending Washington University in St. Louis to study Psychology and French. I am considering a career in adolescent counseling, plan to join an a cappella group, and would love to spend a semester in Australia.

My family and I would like to thank you for all your support.

Love, Olivia
